Stuff to Bring

Paul-Anglers-Edge-Crew-with-Record-Spurdog

Refreshments: Tea and coffee are supplied onboard, but you are encouraged to bring any extra drinks.

Food: Please bring your own food. We have a gas stove onboard and are pretty handy at warming through dishes.

Proper Clothing: Proper boat footwear is recommended. The deck can become slippery and it is not a place for leather soles. You will need some warm and waterproof clothing. Even in summer the weather can change quickly.

A Hat: There is limited space to get out of the weather. Protect yourself from the sun wind and rain. UK weather is unpredictable on land, and even more so at sea.

Sunscreen: There is little protection from direct sun or reflected rays from the sea.

Hand Towel: Fishing and baiting up is a filthy task, a towel is very welcome piece of kit.

Polarised Sunglasses: The glare from the sea can damage your eyes. Polarised glasses provide much needed protection.

Medication: If you take any medication you are obliged to inform the skipper prior to booking. Please ensure you have any medication you may require during the day with you. (Inhalers, Anti-histamine etc.)

Tackle: There is no need to bring bulky lead weights, we have plenty. We have mono from 20lbs to 200lbs. Hooks from 1/0 to meat hooks. You are not gonna run out of tackle.

Lures: We have basic lures available.

Rigs etc: We provide and recommend basic rigs

Seat Tackle Boxes: We request you keep your tackle to a minimum. We have most of the basic tackle on board.

Eat something before you get on board.
Keep your eyes on the horizon.
