Parking

During the summer months we will pick up at the Eastney side pontoon of the Hayling ferry. There is free parking at the end of the road. During the summer months the car park gets busy from day break. See top map

During the winter months Angler’s Edge will pick up from the pontoon inside Premier Southsea Marina and Boatyard. Parking is free here, there are usually plenty of spaces.

Please check any parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle. 

Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions of booking have been kept as short and simple as possible. please take time to read and understand them.


Definitions

“Angler’s Edge” – Angler’s Edge Fishing Charters Hire 
“Customer” – The person, Group of Persons, company or organisation booking a trip
“Fee” – The cost of the trip and any items such as Bait, Rod Hire as agreed between Angler’s Edge Fishing Charters and the Customer

Bookings and Deposit

Bookings will remain provisional until Angler’s Edge receives:
Agreed deposit at which time the booking becomes confirmed
A: The Customer has supplied Contact Number, Address, Email Address
B: Until the customer receives Confirmation (By Email) from Angler’s Edge
The Customer agrees to be bound by all and any stipulations made by Angler’s Edge

Full and Final Payment

The remainder of any fees due must be paid in full prior to departing the berth. No Cheques, No Credit Cards, and strictly no IOUs. Please ENSURE you have means of payment before boarding the boat.

Cancellation by the Customer

MINIMUM of 4 weeks cancellation notice is required from the customer. This will result in any deposit less 5% handling fee returned.
Less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks notice will result in any deposit fee paid being forfeited.
Less than 2 weeks’ notice will result in the full fee becoming due.
Any necessity or request to return to port early on the day of the trip either being made by the customer, or the skipper, will result in full fee being due.

Cancellation by Angler’s Edge

If the trip is cancelled by Angler’s Edge due to weather conditions, Sickness, Mechanical Issues or unforeseen circumstances, then every effort will be made with the customer to offer a suitable replacement day. If this cannot be agreed, then any Fees, Deposit paid will be returned.
Angler’s Edge Fishing Charters will not be held responsible nor liable for any costs, fees or consequential loss incurred by the Customer in the event a trip is cancelled at Angler’s Edge request.
Any refunds due to the Customer will be paid within 28 days.

Weather and Conditions

It is the Customer’s responsibility to contact the Skipper on the evening prior to the trip, to ensure the prevailing conditions are satisfactory for the trip to go ahead.
Safety is paramount, and any decision made by Angler’s Edge is final.
Adverse weather conditions may result in a change to itinerary and will be made by Angler’s Edge and will be final. (Example: Wreck trip becoming an Inshore Trip)
Angler’s Edge will always attempt to provide a satisfactory replacement offering in the event of bad weather.

Alcohol Drugs and Smoking

Insurance requirements mean that only a small quantity of low strength alcohol will be allowed on board.
More than 2 tins per customer will be required to be left ashore.
If the skipper deems a customer to have had excessive alcohol then the trip will be immediately cancelled and return to port with the full fee becoming due. The Skippers decision is final and binding. No discussion will be entered into.
The use of illegal Drugs is strictly prohibited. Drug abuse will result in the immediate cancellation of the trip and return to port. The skipper decision will be final and binding and Angler’s Edge reserve the right to notify the relevant authorities if deemed necessary. Smoking will be allowed at the discretion of the skipper. Full consideration will be given to the Non-smokers onboard. Nonetheless, smoking will be prohibited in the cabin or undercover.

Safety

Any Medical conditions MUST be notified to Angler’s Edge at time of booking. This must include any medication taken, and any special medical requirements.
It is the responsibility of customers to notify the Skipper immediately if they or anyone else is feeling unwell. This includes Sea Sickness.
Customers are to remain seated at all times during transit.
Tomfoolery and instances considered by the skipper to present danger will result in the immediate cancellation of the trip and a return to port. All fees will become due.
Angler’s Edge accept no responsibility for injury, loss of life, or loss of enjoyment.
Angler’s Edge recommends that all customers wear a lifejacket at all times when in the marina and onboard the vessel.

Personal Belongings and Hire Equipment

Angler’s Edge accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to customer equipment.
Angler’s Edge provide items such as rod holders but accept no responsibility for the failure of these which may result in the loss or damage to customer equipment.
Any damage incurred to the vessel or its operating equipment must be paid for on a new for like basis.

Keeping the Catch

Customers may keep their catch excluding any fish which are restricted from landing by the Fisheries Commission.
Customers may keep their catch ss long as the minimum sizes set down by DEFRA are met.
Fish must not be sold for monetary gain.
The skipper and crew of Angler’s Edge discharge all responsibility of ensuring customers comply with these requirements. If any clauses, rules or regulations surrounding catches are suspect, then Angler’s Edge reserves the right to inform the relevant authorities.

Supplemental 

Angler’s Edge, its Skipper and crew are licensed to operate as required by the MCA .
Angler’s Edge maintains the required level of safety aids and devices as required by the MCA.
Angler’s Edge maintains a level of Public Liability Insurance above the minimum legal requirements.
These Terms and Conditions of Booking shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
If any clause or identifiable part thereof is held to be unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction then such enforceability shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions or identifiable parts thereof in these Terms and Conditions of Booking.
